Hosted by the Mellon Centre for Migration Studies, this symposium explores the question of ‘Ulster American Migrants and their relationship with others’ in this landmark year.

This is an opportunity to see how Ulster American migrants interacted with other groups in America through migration, by looking at key events, biographies and geographical hotspots related to Ulster-American migration.

The symposium encourages scholarly study and public awareness of the historical connections between Ulster and North America. It will also demonstrate the strong bonds and partnerships we continue to enjoy across the Atlantic especially in this historic year where we celebrate the 25th Symposium, 50 years of the Ulster American Folk Park and the United States Semi quincentennial.

This is an academic symposium that promises stimulating exchanges over the two days in the Mellon Centre for Migration Studies.
